Milverton, ON – Sunday, June 19, 2022 – Kyle Steckly and his team secured a top 10 finish on his first visit to Peterborough Speedway.
Kyle and his No. 22 APC Auto Parts / CANUSA / Qwick Wick Chevrolet Camaro traveled to Peterborough, Ontario Saturday night for the third round of the APC United Late Model Series. Kyle had the 5th fastest time in practice and finished 5th in qualifying. Kyle started 6th in the AP Emissions Technologies 100 after the invert. Kyle made his way up to 5th and managed to hold the position for most of the race. Near the end of the race Kyle was shuffled back for a 7th place finish.
“We struggled with the handling of our APC CANUSA Qwick Wick Camaro all day. The crew worked hard all day to try to get it where we needed to be and I felt confident we made some good changes for the race after qualifying. But the car just wasn’t balanced and I really struggled in the race. I just tried to get the best finish I could out of the car. Overall, we had a decent day but we are looking for more. The crew and I are going to go to work to try to find some more speed,” Kyle said.
After this race Kyle holds 6th position in the APC United Late Model Series points standings, only 1 point behind Shae Gemmell.
Next Kyle will race in the Delaware weekly series at Delaware Speedway on Friday, June 24th. Kyle’s previous races can be viewed on the Rogers TV London YouTube Channel and GForceTV Youtube Channel.
