Milverton, ON – Sunday, August 28, 2022 – Kyle Steckly battled hard all day at Sauble Speedway but didn’t walk away with the results he wanted.

Kyle and his No. 22 APC Auto Parts / CANUSA / Qwick Wick Chevrolet Camaro traveled to Sauble Beach, Ontario Saturday night for the second last race of the APC United Late Model Series. Kyle had the 8th fastest time in practice and qualified 5th. Kyle started the 100-lap feature in 8th spot after the invert. While battling with the top five, Steckly held his line while another car came down and spun, causing Steckly to be sent to the back for being an involved car. Kyle got to work quickly making his way back to the front but there just wasn’t enough time and he finished 11th.

We had a solid APC Auto Parts Centres, Qwick Wick Fire Starter Chevrolet yesterday, running inside the top five for most of the race. In the midst of a couple late race restarts I was running on the inside of another driver and just didn’t have enough room on corner entry. I was inside far enough to hold my ground, which ended up with him being spun around and I was sent to the back for being an involved car. Battled back for an 11th place finish. Definitely not what we wanted but done being pushed around. Thankful for my crew and all my sponsors for making this possible week in and week out. We will be back at Delaware Speedway,” Steckly said.

After this race Kyle is still 2nd in the APC United Late Model Series points standings.

Next Kyle will race in the 70th Anniversary Special at Delaware Speedway on Friday, September 2nd. Kyle’s previous races can be viewed on the Rogers TV London YouTube Channel and GForceTV Youtube Channel.
