Milverton, ON – Tuesday, August 2, 2022 – Kyle Steckly kept his momentum going and walked away with a 2nd place finish at Sauble Speedway on Saturday.
Kyle and his No. 22 APC Auto Parts / CANUSA / Qwick Wick Chevrolet Camaro traveled to Hepworth, Ontario Saturday night for round 6 of the APC United Late Model Series. Kyle had the 5th fastest time in practice and qualified 1st. Kyle started the 100-lap feature in 8th spot after the invert and immediately began working his way to the front. After battling with the top five and avoiding a wreck out front he came home with a 2nd place finish in the Stewart’s 100.
“We had a great run at Sauble Speedway with our APC Auto Parts / CANUSA / Qwick Wick number 22. We showed a lot of speed all day and I was really happy with my car going into the race. We ran quite a bit with my APC teammate Shae Gemmell and then rode inside the top five until a late race restart. I think we had the car to beat, but after some rough racing we brought it home in second place,” Steckly said.
After this race Kyle is 2nd in the APC United Late Model Series points standings, only 5 points behind leader JR Fitzpatrick.
“I am really happy with how our car has been working the past couple of weeks. Really thankful for my crew and everyone at McColl Racing for all of their hard work. Looking forward to Sunset in two weeks, hopefully we can have another good points night and be battling for the win,” Steckly said.
Next Kyle will race in the Delaware Weekly Series at Delaware Speedway on Friday, August 5th, followed by a trip to Sunset Speedway with the APC United Late Model Series on Saturday, August 13th. Kyle’s previous races can be viewed on the Rogers TV London YouTube Channel and GForceTV Youtube Channel.
