Milverton, ON, CANADA – Wednesday September 1, 2021 – 22 Racing is thrilled to return to the historic “Mosport” circuit this weekend after a year absence for two action-packed NASCAR Pinty’s Series races as CTMP celebrates its 60th Anniversary.

Entering the race weekend with the 2021 NASCAR Pinty’s Series points lead, Alex Tagliani will look to increase his points gap knowing this year’s field is equally as hungry to secure a top of the podium finish at this storied racetrack. With a recent 4th place finish at Circuit ICAR and a win at GP3R, TAG has demonstrated his No 18 Rona / Viagra / St Hubert Chevrolet Camaro is more than capable on road courses this season. Tagliani has previously earned 1 win, 1 pole and 4 top-five finishes at CTMP.

Pilot of the No. 22 GM Paille Chevrolet Camaro, Marc-Antoine Camirand will be seeking redemption this weekend after a challenging start to the 2021 season.  In his last visit to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park Camirand clinched a second-place finish achieving his first podium of the 2019 NASCAR Pinty’s Series season. With ten starts under his belt at CTMP, as well as 5 top-ten finishes, Camirand knows his way around Canada’s Legendary Home of Motorsport.

Each time Treyten Lapcevich has launched his No 20 RGC / Qwick Wick Camaro around a road course he has proven to be highly adaptable to tracks new to him. Although his ICAR experience didn’t pan out as planned he quickly picked up from road course veterans while adjusting to wet track conditions.  Lapcevich’s depth as a Series’ rookie was on full display in his first-ever road course venture at GP3R where he finished just shy of the podium, in 4th place.

The Olymel 30 runs on Saturday, September 4th at 4 p.m. and the Clarington 200 takes place on Sunday, September 5th at 1:30 p.m., with each race being live streamed on TSN.ca in Canada and NBC TrackPass in the USA.
