Saskatoon, SK– Tuesday, July 26th, 2022 – The NASCAR Pinty’s Series Western swing continues tomorrow at Sutherland Automotive Speedway in Saskatoon! The Leland Industries Twin 125’s on this ⅓-mile oval are sure to be two thrilling races. Treyten Lapcevich and Alex Tagliani will be joined by Kyle Steckly making his NASCAR Pinty’s Series debut in his No. 22 APC Auto Parts Centres / CANUSA / WingN’It Restaurants Chevrolet Camaro.

Currently in the 2022 NASCAR Pinty’s Series points standings Alex Tagliani holds 7th position, and Treyten Lapcevich holds 8th.

Scott Steckly, team owner of 22 Racing, knows Sutherland Automotive Speedway (previously Wyant Group Raceway) well and will likely be imparting some of his knowledge to the three 22 team drivers. He has three wins here including 2009, 2013 and his final year of competition and his final championship year in 2015. This knowledge is sure to help the first-time visitors of the track, Treyten Lapcevich and Kyle Steckly, pick up some pointers before they go racing.

Mechanical difficulties in Edmonton caused Treyten Lapcevich and his No. 20 FBM / RGC Sports / Qwick Wick Chevrolet Camaro to come into the pits for repairs, but when he returned to the track he quickly began making up for the laps he lost, and Lapcevich is ready to bring that speed to Saskatoon! Lapcevich has proved time and time again this year that he is a major contender and his oval racing background is sure to take effect tomorrow.

Kyle Steckly has been busy this year racing in both the APC United Late Model Series and the Delaware Weekly Series, and now he’s going to try his hand at the NASCAR Pinty’s Series. Steckly is seemingly on a winning streak, coming off of win number 4 on Saturday he is looking to bring that momentum with him to Saskatoon. Being no stranger to oval tracks, Steckly’s experience and adaptability is sure to come into play tomorrow.

After a disappointing finish in Edmonton on Saturday, Alex Tagliani is looking for a comeback in his No. 18 Viagra / St Hubert Chevrolet Camaro. Still looking to get his first first-place finish of the season, he is ready to do what it takes to secure the victory. With his car all repaired, Tagliani is ready to bring all the speed and skill to Sutherland Automotive Speedway!

Raceday kicks off with practice at 12:20 p.m. CST followed by qualifying taking place from 3:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. CST. The first Leland Industries 125 will go green at 6:05 p.m. CST (8:05 p.m. EST), followed by the second one going green at 8:15 p.m. CST (10:15 p.m. EST).
